Why Turf Wars?
Turf Wars is a satirical animated short that turns an ordinary suburban lawn into an epic battlefield. By telling the story from the ants’ point of view, the film humorously transforms everyday backyard life into a dramatic military campaign.
Inspired by classic television animation and timeless comedic storytelling, Turf Wars blends visual humor with character-driven moments to create a unique animated experience.

At its core, the film celebrates imagination — the idea that even the smallest creatures can see their world as something much larger and more heroic than it appears.

The story was inspired by real-life battles between a homeowner and the relentless ants that refuse to surrender the lawn.

Turf Wars follows a vast ant army running a full-scale military campaign to invade a suburban home. Through bunker briefings, battlefield banter, and escalating clashes with the homeowner’s countermeasures, the ants treat every crack, paver, and wall cavity as strategic terrain. The conflict grows in scale and absurdity as the ants push deeper toward the house—ending on a cliffhanger punctuated by Granny’s final comedic button.
